Nordic Film Music Days is an annual festival held alongside the Berlinale film festival in Berlin. It provides a platform for composers from the Nordic countries to meet, share experiences, and present their work to filmmakers, producers, and other industry professionals.

The highlight of the festival is the Harpa Awards, which recognise the best film or television score from the Nordic region each year. First awarded in 2010, the prize has become a significant honour for composers in the region. The aim is both to draw attention to Nordic film composers and to strengthen their international networks.

This year, Iceland Music, in collaboration with NFMD, is offering selected composers the opportunity to take part in networking meetings with producers, directors, and other key industry figures at Berlinale.

Interested parties must apply to be considered, and those selected will receive a travel grant of 75,000 ISK. Participation in the festival programme is free of charge, but participants must cover their own flights and accommodation.

We encourage all film composers who wish to present themselves on a Nordic and international stage to apply.
